CAV CA45 type Starter Motor Supplier

The CAV CA45 Co-axial type starter motor is used on many Industrial , agricultural vehicle, and marine diesel engine applications.
CAV CA45 type starter motors can be identified by the part number stamped in to the motor casing.
The CAV CA45 motor casing has a diameter of 4.5 inches
CAV CA45 starter motors are available as 12 volts or 24 volts versions.
Starter Solenoid is fitted inside the casing in line with the armature.
Direction of rotation is identified by an arrow stamped on the motor case.

Axial type starter motor operation

Axial starter motors have a staged operation. When current is applied the armature and pinion assembly rotate slowly and are pushed forward in to flywheel teeth mesh, in doing so the solenoid second stage contacts apply connecting full power to the starter.

Starter Motor Warranty Notes

Unit Warranty may be voided by oil fuel or coolant leaks on to the starter motor.
Warranty may be voided by overload due to hydraulic pumps permmanently engaged resulting in additional excessive load.
